now imagine we bought both Loca and De Paul for the midfield this season. Loca on the left and De Paul on the right mezzala.
the sad story of our '21 summer mercato: missed opportunities, deadwood sticking with their nonsense wages, no money at all, cr fucking off at the last second. it is what it is. next summer will be much better cash flow wise, we just need to be more ruthless with the players we want out.

imo he was lost out there, never managed to link well with the defense, neither the offense.
As he has found space in the first half,, when Napoli were inexistent, he has abandoned his place, left Benta to do all the defending and stride forwards, with fancy dribbling with no effect. When our team actually needed him the most in the second half he disappeared and the defensive solidarity that he was bought to give was our palest moment.
Most of the football sites rate him with a mediocre performance.
Only Juventuz who are desperate to see a glimmer of hope present him as the 2nd coming.
It is very early to draw any conclusions indeed. Most of them are tactical decisions the coach has made to accomodate him. That is already obvious and it fails!

Good first half, bad second half, outplayed by Anguissa in second.

Says it is very early to draw any conclusions in a post full of jumping to inane and stupid conclusions. Never change

I don’t even know why we need a regista. Tactical limitations!

Great player, so happy that he's here.

As has been said MANY times, he cannot be a savior to us, but he is a great starting piece in our rebuild. Get some more like him and we are in good shape.

Why is this thread so dead? Easily our best player in the first half.
Because he's not some random €50M French or Dutch kid.

The only good thing i witnessed today.
10 times better than any other midfielder we got (although this isn't that difficult...)

Benta didn't play

A 6.25 ish game overall in his first outing. Should be better as B2B or mezzala and with better players and experience in new team.
