Every summer things changes hands about captains, and it allways leads to needless discussions about who should be or who is fitting.

Every time someone points out how that doesn't matter. Let be that this time:

It's SOLELY about seniority lol. So that's why Locatelli will get it next after Danilo, or share it with Vlaho. They been around same length of time. It's why Rabiot was one too last season.

The magic word is seniority, that's it. It doesn't signal anything about who stays or for how long or who fits it leadership or importance wise.
But is that the right path forward, though? I mean, we need to have captains who want to lead. This is a very specific quality set that only certain people or players have.

Whenever I buy JC Todibo in FIFA, he automatically comes into the team and grabs the captain's armband from pretty much anyone else. That might make more sense than just giving it to someone like Loca who's career highlight is passing the ball 50 yards beyond the stadium rafters.

Leadership in any organisation is important right? Danilo isn't the same leader as ADP, buffon or chiellini. It meant something more once upon a time.
we have zero players with the charisma, history and credibility of those you mentioned. this is still jj.

danilo as a captain is just one of the many syndromes of this club morphing into jj. he's still one of the better choices considering the squad we have.

Danilo is one of the few players who has a leadership trait in FIFA, the real world simulation of all things footie. You better apologize to him!

Why is he getting so much shit though?
Because he's shit.

But I do feel the jeers at the stadium were harsh and unecessary. This fixture has always traditionally been intended to be light-hearted and meant to bring together the fans and the team (hence the traditional pitch invasion), so to put him down like that particularly before the season has even started was wrong I feel.

Boy is that soft. Just stay off social media and dont read the comments, rather than make it a story and turn it into a pity party ---- but Juve fans booing and whistling him at an event like that are the biggest losers ever.

What a pathetic club, from the top to the fans.

There is so little that is likable about this club right now.
