None of them were captain and leading players at a side that was fighting for the EL or possibly even a CL spot. He's far more mature and ready than Tonali and Verratti were at that stage. Unlike those two, Locatelli can immediately step into the starting line-up.

I disagree. I do rate Locatelli, though. We will see what happens in the next 5 years and how they perform in their next clib. What Aouar has accomplished at Lyon so far is bigger imo.
