Old Lady Eyes Former Arsenal Goalkeeper
The Bianconeri are looking for an experienced stopper as Gianluigi Buffon's understudy between the sticks. Juve are looking to bolster their squad in every position in light of their Champions League commitments next season.
The Old Lady were after Middlesbrough's Mark Schwarzer but he was not interested in being second choice and thus Juve have now turned their attention to Siena custodian Manninger.
The Austrian has impressed this season and he has the experience Secco is looking for. The current Juve number two Emanuele Belardi has not been too impressive this term when he has played and Ranieri would like someone more reliable.
Manninger is now Juve's first choice but should he fail to arrive then the Bianconeri will need to turn to plan B or, if you like, Serie B. Juve are also looking towards Bologna shot stopper Francesco Antonioli whose contract expires this summer and he would land on a Bosman.
Antonioli is a 38-year-old veteran who played for both Milan and Roma in the past. Reports also suggest the Bianconeri may even swoop for Livorno and Azzurri number two Marco Amelia. However, it's likely that Amelia will want first team football which may prove difficult given Buffon's brilliance in goal.
