I know you would say this, but I have had this discussion with you in past games (and sabet), and you know full well why I am saying this. My role in a current game has no signifance whatsoever to me when it comes to the rules, I never liked how you like to alter or influence the rules to how you like it. You did it when you were narrator, or suggested/told narrators to do it when you were a player. Its very simple, every action except the jailer is revealed after night time phase. I like to play this game how its supposed to be like, not overly interested if its your own versions of it (didnt play few games due to this in the past, besides being busy etc).
In this particular case, Kate did follow the rules. It was the D's mistake that he lost an entire investigation. But knowing you, if you were a C, you'd have done your best to convince Kate that she's wrong and she should tell the D what's Zach's role.
