The D asked you about Zach's role, didn't he? He asked you after yesterday's lynching. You have to tell him about Zach's role. You can't wait for today's lynching to be over until you tell the D. You must tell him now.
Dont try to change the rules bro, EVERY action except the jailer will be found out after the deadline, investigation result is after deadline, snoop result is after deadline, saving, protecting, everything but the jailer. Its part of the night time phase that this game is originally built for (in cards form of it), never changed from that, just because some past narrator changed in a past game in this forum and possibly ruined the balance of the game, since the timing of actions are very vital to how the game operate, doesnt mean its the right thing. Day by day, we operate on what we know and found out in the night time phase before that day, we dont get to know anything in the middle of the day, except who got jailed. Its not how the game works, in the day we act on what we see and suss out, nothing more.

If a narrator actually gives the answer to a detective before deadline, then someone royally fucked up the rules, and I'm not interested in playing games where clear rules are altered for no reason.

I haven't. I have been following the rules as laid out in the first post.

I'm a neutral member of this game, Alen, and not answering that question.
You're the narrator and I'm asking you to explain me a rule. I didn't understand it in the rules thread so I'm asking you about it.

If I am the detective and if I asked you yesterday at 21:01 CET about the role of some player, will you tell me the role before 21:00 CET today or not?

Detective (new mode): The Detective will have selected a target by nighttime which they wish to investigate, at which point we will then reply with what that person's role is (gangster, civilian, bodyguard, etc.). The Detective also has the option of using once per game the "gun's blazing" mode which allows them to kill one person they choose without knowing before hand their role. The Detective will not be able to investigate the first night after they do this as a consequence of using this mode. Afterwards their role will go back to normal. However, if the person they kill is any type of civilian, their role will immediately be revealed on the thread as a press release, blowing their cover.

Bodyguard - Ever day someone get's lynched; people vote on who they think is a G and then that person gets killed at the end of the day's play and their role is revealed. Then the G's whack someone. The bodyguard gets to pick someone or themselves every day who they want to be protected from whacking. So if the G's decide on whacking someone but that person is being protected by the bodyguard then they fail on that whacking. Again, you don't know who the bodyguard is or who he is protecting.

You are all a bunch of goddamn sheeple. Not listening to me, but blindly following alen. Alen knows the rules. Yet he's making a total mess about it, on purpose.
And he doesnt know who the D is, unless he's a gangster and the crooked cop found out.

Good, and I changed my post to referring to narrators in general, didnt want to single you out, you are doing a fine job. The main annoyance I had in past games is the narrators changing the rules whenever they feel like, when its not up to them.

Well, I don't understand the rules. I must be dumb. I will understand this particular rule only if you answer me with a yes or no.
"The Detective can ask me about someone during the Daytime, but they will not receive a response until the Nighttime."

How is that difficult to understand?

You sound relieved that Kate doesn't want to tell the D what's Zach's role.

So, in our case, daytime is between 12:00 CET and 21:00 CET, right? Nighttime is between 21:00 CET and 12:00 CET.
Which means, if, supposedly, the D asked you yesterday after 21:00 CET he won't get an answer before 21:00 CET today. Yes or no?

The D asks during the Daytime, gets his response at Nighttime. FFS.

I know you would say this, but I have had this discussion with you in past games (and sabet), and you know full well why I am saying this. My role in a current game has no signifance whatsoever to me when it comes to the rules, I never liked how you like to alter or influence the rules to how you like it. You did it when you were narrator, or suggested/told narrators to do it when you were a player. Its very simple, every action except the jailer is revealed after night time phase. I like to play this game how its supposed to be like, not overly interested if its your own versions of it (didnt play few games due to this in the past, besides being busy etc).

Ok, this means that the D won't learn about Zach's role until tonight.

Lets not lynch Zach then, because the D will know his role by tonight. Unfortunately, the D lost an entire investigation.
