The jailer was killed yesterday. Technically speaking, if the Gs were dumb enough to recruit someone on the first day, could this someone then be reassigned the jailer role too? I don't think this is the case, but I just want to put my mind at ease.

The Jailer was chosen from a pool of civilians. Any other business would have already been done before then. Still during the night, but before the reassignment of the jailer role.

I'm not saying anything was or wasn't done, but the jailer was chosen from civilians after all other special role things had been taken care of.

In future, it will be the same. The Gs must send their recruit choice before the voting deadline, and I will pick a new jailer after I take care of all of those other things.

So on the first day of a new Jailer, they will be a civilian.
