I think we should all do it.
And before every mafia game, all participants should go offline. Many times it works to catch a G, but we're wasting too much time on "why did you change your status to offline?" in every game. And many dumb civilians deliberately stay online, to use it as a proof that they're no Gs.That's not the point of the game imo.

I'm making perfect sense. I spent half day in jail, seeing how they all voted for people who went offline. I wanted a good game and instead everything was about the offline status.
But fine, everyone can keep the status they want.
I don't buy that at all, wanting a good game? I think it was a pretty good first day, at least there were concrete arguments against me and Chocolate. Much less random than a regular first day. But there's more:

Your changing status doesn't make sense at all.
Your asking the BG to come out makes little sense.
Your asking people to go offline is very suspicious.
Your making a case against no lynch is very suspicious (the arguments you use are even more suspicious than the general idea to not go for no lynch).

If I was a G, i'd have went invisible before the game started or right when I got my role.
I deliberately said right after deadline that I intend to go offline, because that's when the Gs still didn't recruit anyone.

And I really have no intention to keep explaining why should we all go offline and drop this online/offline nonsense.
no you wouldnt have because if you went invisible right then, after roles released, it wouldve been caught and looked extremely suspicious.

I agree we should drop it going forward but your actions not matching your alleged pet peeve about this.

If you had such a beef with this you have mentioned/ taken action before and if you are a G you would not have changed right after roles released.

Who would have caught it if I went offline the moment Piotrr sent the roles?
This is exactly what I'm talking about. We're wasting too much time on offline/online.

But fine, if I was a G who forgot to turn his status offline, what I would have done was create a new account and PM my fellow Gs from there. Not come out publicly to announce that I intend to go offline.
I was simply angry that the whole discussion was about people going offline and that's why I immediately reacted after deadline.

@GordoDeCentral , you see new account signups, correct? would you have noticed a suspicious new account from Croatia?

much better question is "what are the benefits of a handful of people publicly declaring they arent the BG"

who does that benefit?
Maybe he wants to know who the BG is so he can protect him. I guess he should be protected but as in previous games he said "people shouldn't be scared of dying" it's important to win the game.

FFS, are you the bodyguard or no?
The Gs can't whack the BG so you'll be safe. And the Cs won't lynch you for sure.

well my question remains. is this something that he might have noticed as suspicious given current circumstances
Probably not. I'd have created a ForzaJuve1999 account and used it only for PMs with my fellow Gs.

When I was a moderator, I could also follow those who went offline. I think/hope Gordo or other mods aren't doing that, because it's cheating.

Maybe the D got a G tonight. We need to see if we find the BG.
The BG might be reading my call, but he's afraid to come out, thinking that I'm trying to trick him. If the rest of us say that we're not the BG, the mofo might have to come out.
Then again, he might also say that he's not the BG :wallbang:
No much point in the BG declaring now.

This only makes sense if the D finds a G and then exposes himself. Only then the BG can contact him. The D then asks the BG to protect him, if two people contact him then he asks both and investigates one of them.

This is the only scenario that makes sense at the moment. And neither the BG or D should reveal themselves until the D gets a G
