It was a good game by Klin, but he had the bad luck that people know him from the previous games. I saw from the get go that he's a G. It was impossible to watch Klin acting so cool on some occasions and think he's a C. Even Soren is cool as ice compared to him.

I didn't read the thread in details, but I never thought for a second that Fred could be the D

P.S: If I were a G, I'd have tried to whack Ocelot today. I'd have failed, obviously, but it would have been logical to assume that he'll go on an adventure today and assume that the Gs would go for Fred (or Hoori if she's a C), thus protect Fred and leave himself unprotected.

Don't really know honestly, I can just assume and guess.

The one thing we do know however, is that they recruited exactly who they wanted (assuming they recruited today, which is very likely). They knew the BG, and had at least very strong suspicion for the D (Fred could've been a shot in the dark, but I doubt it). There was no luck involved in the recruitment.

However, we can also assume that the recruitment was carried out under pressure, they barely had an hour of time. Again assuming they did it today.

What's your take on Matt presenting X as the jailer to you?

It's...interesting. I got a few theories on that, but that's for another time.

Also, while either decision was a risk, I really don't think me protecting myself can be considered an error defenitely. In hindsight, yes, but as Alen has confirmed, there are Gs who'd try to whack me as well.

If it's any consolation, I'd have protected myself too in your place. It was really logical to assume that the Gs will think how you'll protect the D, and go after you. I believe you thought they don't know who's the D and they have a 1 in 10 chance (or so) to whack him. But chances were much bigger that they'll think how you're protecting the D, and then go after whacking you. You did good, but you were unlucky that they got the D of all possible targets. It would have been memorable if they did the logical thing and went after you... and failed for the second time in 3 days

And if they had gone after you tonight, your move would have turned out to be intelligent and brave, I totally understand your (and Alen's) way of reasoning. However, I prefer to play it safe especially because BG only really matters as long as there is a detective.

Not when he knows the detective. That's my approach to play this game: play it safe as a special role and take risk as a normal player. Even if they had killed Ocelot we would have had Fred for at least one more night which is one more day of investigation.

I must disagree with you. Once BG is dead and they know who the D is he's gone next day. What's the point of sacrificing the BG to have the D around for one day? Having an immortal and confirmed BG for the rest of the game is huge for the Cs (X proved it in the mafia game during summer). Ocelot did the right thing and there's a big challenge ahead of him. Chances of whacking the D were like 1/8, so props to the G team for this as well.

First of all, it's not sacrificing the BG. It takes real cojones to go after the BG instead of playing it safe and going after a normal random C (knowing that there is a reasonably high chance for the BG to protect himself). Protecting the D doesn't necessarily leave the BG unprotected. Secondly, even if the BG is gone, it doesn't mean the detective is gone the day after. For that to happen Gs have to exactly know who the D is "and" the jailer has to be either stupid or recruited. Again, that's only my approach to the game. No role is more important than the D so I, as a BG, will always try my best to make sure the detective is safe.

I'm going to read the thread from the beginning. Now that we know Matt and Klin were Gs, chances are we can find interesting stuff from reading previous nights' events.

Think about it, if you are a C: What if people had bought his story? You yourself didn't notice that huge blunder in his reasoning and was waiting for Ocelot to confirm/discredit his story. I'm now hundred percent sure that Fred had already contacted Ocelot by that time but I'm also sure that when Matt claimed to be the D, Ocelot had to think twice for a second (what if Fred's lying?). So what would have happened if people had bought Matt's story? You would have voted me. Why would he have sacrificed a gangster?

Why would the BG randomly protect Ocelot on the first day instead of himself? This confirms that king Ale is a C btw.

If anything I am more suspicious about king ale now.

And klin too.

Quetz knows he is done, now tries to present king ale as a G too so when he turns to be a G everyone will assume she is a C and of course there is klin to support that theory.

Thing is, I don't think he expected to actually be believed. I think most people smelled his BS and didn't have to wait for Ocelot. If I had been at home at my laptop without distraction instead of out and trying to follow on my phone, or if I was a more seasoned player, I might have caught it at the time too.
