Marotta has build a team on a strong foundation with depth. He could have acted like United and signed less players with greater quality in attacking positions but opted to lie the foundation for it before taking big money risks. Signing Isla and Asamoah proves this point. They're not world class but add to relative weak positions of the team. Lichsteiner has developed into a top class right back but if asked last summer more people would have given the chance to Isla (valuing him a stronger right back at the time)...
This summer we dont need to sign another 5 players. 2-3 will be enough unless we cash in on someone.. I think we'll sell someone like Lichsteiner, Storari, Quagliarella/Matri, Padoin, Giaccherini etc.. But if not, we have depth to only add two or three players. Meaning bigger names, meaning bigger bids..
