Luis Suarez - Forward - Liverpool (6 Viewers)

If possible, would you sign Luis Suárez?

  • Yes, he's a great player

  • Yes, but only if the price is right

  • Begrudgingly, his talent outweighs the negatives

  • No, his character doesn't reflect well on Juventus

  • No, he is almost subhuman

  • Kill it, kill it with fire!

Maybe not.. But Suarez is an impact player from day 1. He will not be dependent on the other players on the team as much as Dzeko will be.

Suarez now ... Higuain next summer! :tuttosport:

Good post +rep

Dzeko could only dream of being able to do flicks, touches and one two's the way Trez used to do for us. Stop bringin Trez into this everytime someone says Dzeko.. they're both tall strikers and that's where the similarities between the two players end.
The point was genius that you don't need to have fancy moves to be effective. Trez was anything but that yet one of our most effective strikers that averaged 20+ a year. Thank goodness our BOD didn't say no to him.

We need more clever players in the final third in order to keep up with europes "elite" so to speak. Getting dzeko wouldn't in any way improve our squad apart from probably sticking in a few extra goals against the likes of chievo and bologna after the match is already won ;)

Who said anything about fancy moves? You literally thought I was talking about stepovers, didn't you? :D

Trez didn't even have Dzeko's strenght, but his technique was on another level. He knew how to be at the receiving end. Some of his lay-offs with his first touch, it'd take 4to 5 touches for Dzeko to be able to do anything with that ball. Cusp was spot on with his post. Yeah, other than both being tall, not very similar on what they offer/ed on the pitch. And regardless of what the management decides, Dzeko ain't the second coming of Trez.

Trez had Zidane and DP feeding him as well. Don't you forget that. We don't have Zidane, and Vucinic is nowhere near a DP in his prime. Moreover, Trez's off the ball movement, finishing, and striker instincts are things Dzeko can only dream of. Furthermore, he had a telepathic understanding with DP ;)

Then we should pack our bags and call it a day because neither of those players are returning back to their prime for us.

I don't feel Dzeko has the potential to be an elite player while Suarez already is one. That's the difference.
