Roma manager Luis Enrique has lavished praise on his counterpart for Juve’s bright start to the season. The Spanish coach outlined his admiration for Antonio Conte’s brand of attractive football and believes the Bianconeri blueprint is something his side should seek to emulate.*
The 41-year-old began: “Juventus are a winning team who play attacking football. In December, they came to the Stadio Olimpico to win and this must be an example for us, because tomorrow we must look to impose our style of play and to win the game. The fact that they’re unbeaten needs to be an added incentive as far as we're concerned.”
“As a manager, Conte is a bit like how he was when he played,” he continued. “He was a winning footballer with a strong character. His team are well trained and have great hunger for success. I must truly congratulate him, he’s a fine coach.”*
After an inconsistent start to the campaign, the Giallorossi have begun to string together a positive sequence of results: “I’ve noticed a change in mentality since the start of our training camp. The results haven’t come immediately, but things are going better now. Now it’s down to us to continue this positive run.”
