I think you're overlooking the importance of confidence, morale, and consistency. Looking at how we played in the Europa matches and our form now, the performances and results look very similar, even while using a somewhat stronger side in Serie A. The areas of football I listed in the previous sentence all come into play when looking long-term; without a decent amount of any, any little speed bump can turn into a brick wall, and I'm afraid that's partly the reason for our poor form now. Injuries aren't the only problem.

To me, the Europa performances were a sign of things to come, and the eventual failure to qualify stunted our collectiveness as a team. Some say that failure drives one to perform better in the future. But after a season like we had last year, I can't really say we have such a mentality as a collective unit yet, and therefore each failure is the opposite of a shot of adrenaline -- it's more like a dose of rat poison. That's why it is my belief that any success in a competition like Europa League would carry over to our Serie A form and our future ability to compete in general. As they say, success builds on success.

Even if one thinks my post is "nonsense", at the very least the performances in Europa should be considered a harbinger.
I agree with most of what you said, however, one thing missing from your list is talent.

Without talent, you perform like we did against Bolonga or Sampdoria. You are unable to break down a team as they're just as skilled as you are.

Compare this to a team with the likes of Pato, Ibra, Cassano and Robinho, you know that these guys will get you through some games where the team isn't playing well on their own considering the amount and talent and skill you have at your disposal.

Unfortunately Juve no longer spends the money required for such talents - we have turned into a provincial mid-table team

In our league games directly after bad performances in EL games we took 13 points from a possible 18 and were higher in the league, so this makes no sense. It's obvious to anyone that we were looking at the league and the EL was a distraction. So where does this confidence, morale and consistency come in when we were taking 2.16 points per game in the league directly after average-bad performances and draws in the EL?

In comparison post-EL we have 5 points from 15 (1 ppg). This also coincides with 2 early red cards, a season-long injury to our top scorer, injuries to basically all our other forwards and the 3-game suspension of a key midfielder, which I think are more viable reasons for our drop in form than being out of the fricking EL.

most importantly IMO the team is still working hard and giving their best, even with the issues and loss of form...with a little more luck we would have beaten Samp

Van Gaal once said that succes is the opposite of luck.

I dont think we should expect anything from our luck, that bitch has turned against us a long time ago.

Plus they play a 3-man defence and didnt had a clean sheet in ages, it's just what they have upfront is scary. Denis, Di Natale and Sanchez aint nothing to fuck with it. I trust our CB's but our FB's not, I would play 4 CB's like against Caglari :p

Their luck will end on Sunday. They can't keep smashing home 3/4 goals every game forever, Barcelona they are not.

Too bad Amauri will most likely start for us, so we're going to have an impotent attack against them.

I cant believe people keep comparing to the eurocrapleague

its quite obvious that we totally werent interested in it, as we couldnt field key players, and its in the way of getting 4th.

sadly at the same time we are ravaged by injuries.

oh, and complaining about sampdoria gamefollows.

how exactly are you supposed to score against when you dont have any striker left due to injuries ?

if we had toni and quag up and ready for that game, it would have been so easy

comparing to other teams ?

ok, take cavani away from napoli, take ibra and robinho away from milan, and take milito en eto'o away from inter

the exact same thing happens.
we have an injury crisis, while in a state of rebuilding the team, deal with it
