Del Neri has only one problem IMO. And that is fixing this goddamn unorganized defense that we have. That's where the problem is, or the main problem lets say.

Offensively? We are scoring pretty well.

We are not playing an ugly football. In-fact, we are playing the best football since 5, 6 years now IMO. We are just not organized at the back and we're limited when our opponents hit us on the counter attack.

Del Neri is trying a lot, it shows, I'm glad we are playing some decent football but he still has to fix it at the back. I don't know if it's the offside system or anything else but a solution must be found.

If this is fixed, then just like Del Piero and Del Neri said a week ago, we would have no limits and we are a team to fear.
totally agree, but it isnt easy for him with the fullbacks we have
this team first his 4-4-2 very well, but we need fullbacks that are up for it. motta is terribad in not trigering offside, and weak in 1v1, whilst the other side is rediculous.

motta, i still believe in
the other side, i hope he turns pepe in the new zambrotta

Defensive line was better, especially at fullback. Can't be blamed for both goals resulting from clear individual mistakes.

He's got us scoring a lot of goals as well, which is good if we're going to concede so freely.

Helped a lot having our fullbacks who were more defensive minded. Our concentration levels and marking at the back is still terrible, but the overall peformance was better especially in the second half.

Luigi's well aware of the defence, its going to take something special to fix it but I like how he involved both rinaudo and legro today in order to find a solution... of course there isnt one but IMO gygera should be our leftback permanently. Its the centre that raises so many questions.

certainly until January (and after we've given Traore a chance), I just hope Marotta's scouting network is working its magic to find us a proper leftback, as there are not a lot of good fullbacks in circulation at the minute...

I'm intrigued by Iraola, I dont watch much spanish football so know very little aobut him - is he more of an attacking fullback? If so, is he like Molinaro defensively?

We do need to get a left back in though urgently....

I'd prefer a right-back as I don't consider Zdenek a RB anymore. His 3-4 presences on the left have been his only decent games in 3 years time. I'd even let him stay after January if he continues like that and if Traore isn't bad. De Ceglie is just hopeless and Grosso needs to go, but the fact is that we have 4 LBs now. Motta can do well as backup RB but we need someone better in January.

Del Neri: 'Juve depend on nobody'
Sunday 26 September, 2010
Gigi Del Neri takes back his earlier claim that Juventus rely on Milos Krasic. “We mustn’t be dependent on any one player.”

In yesterday’s Press conference the Coach was asked if the Bianconeri were too dependent on Alessandro Del Piero, but replied by suggesting Krasic was a more likely candidate.

The Serb certainly fulfilled that promise when he scored a hat-trick in tonight’s 4-2 win over Cagliari.

“No, we are not Krasic-dependent, as we mustn’t be dependent on any one player,”
said Del Neri.

“The players have to focus only on working, then nobody doubts the quality of individuals. Krasic is an important player, that’s for sure.”

The squad was rotated for tonight’s test, as Leandro Rinaudo, Alberto Aquilani, Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta were drafted in.

“We chose a more physical squad partly to rest some players, but also as physical strength is an important thing to have in Serie A.

“Amauri and Iaquinta can become a partnership, as they have complementary characteristics. They just need to work on that rapport.

“We definitely need to work on some things, as when we think that we’ve solved a problem, we tend to dive into a dark tunnel just as we did against Palermo,”
he said of that 3-1 home defeat.

“The team creates a remarkable number of scoring opportunities, I think more than anyone in the League.

“It is true that we must learn to defend and be much more concentrated.”
