my take on that disaster?
yes pepe and quagmire were playing poorly,but if you are going to put Iaquinta and Amauri on then you better get balls flying in from the wings. Pepe may have been poor but he was the only player we had capable of putting in the sort of balls that thos two can attack. Del Neri's subsitutions left us completely imbalanced and with all the creativity left to Krasic who Palermo were doubling up on. it may have been the right players to take off but not for the formation he ended up setting us up with.

my other grievance is...who is protecting the back 4? Pepe and Krasic are putting in very hard shifts trying to cover our (hopelessly inadequate) full backs,but the back line is being stretched all over the place as Bonnucci and Chiellini clearly are not comfortable with each other OR the ass-clowns at full-back,either Melo or Marchisio HAVE to drop back and give them more protection
