You also said that he should have stayed on at Juventus when he clearly couldn't have. He had lost the respect of the dressing room and the management, he had to go.

I didn't say seria a sucked, Seria A didn't suck last year, we did.
Actually seria A was good, seeing that 1st and 2nd spot wer fighting the whole way + 3rd 4th and 5th for a long period for the CL spot.

Ranieri is the type of coach you need at a big club when you're having a bad situation.

Rainieri should be managing a team like Fiorentina or Sampdoria IMO, just like Del Neri.

Along with the myth of ranieri builds teams so that other managers would take over and start winning BS there is another mistake that the guys here in this forum keeps repeating. They say Ranieri got us to 2nd place in his second season which is not true.

We were in 3rd place with him and that was our results in the last two months (a Draw-loss-D-D-D-D-D) we were well heading for 3rd place Before Ferrara took over and won us 2 games in a row. Some here tends to forget this and give all credit for Ranieri for getting us 2nd place which is another BS that people keep repeating.

Based on recent performances the board of said club thinks it's time to take it a step higher and try to mount a serious title challenge, since Rainieri is not the man for that kind of task, the first logical step is to fire him in order to bring someone who can actually win something.

Yeah he did fail, like I said earlier he's not a winner. I have a feeling the board already knew it wasnt really possile to win with him. they used him for a strong come back to the top of the table and then sack him.

That's the best he can do. It was fair enough for us coming from seria b.

Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri was not impressed with his side's performance against Sturm Graz despite the Bianconeri winning 2-1 in the first leg of their Europa League play-off.

The boss says the team has not forgotten about last season's errors, which contributed to the side conceding a goal this evening.

"I suffered a lot, as we did not do what we needed to," Del Neri said after the match to TuttoSport. "We also do not need to be scared when we concede a goal.

"We paid the ultimate price and conceded a goal due to our psychological problems, but we must forget about last season and move forward without thinking about the demons that haunted us.

"We can do much, much better. This does not sit well with me compared to how my teams normally play," concluded the coach.

I like how Del Neri can come out and say that he's not satisfied with the performance, even after we won. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the "I'm happy with the performance despite the 4-0 humiliation. We don't need to change anything" that we've been putting up with.
