What if we got Benitez? paid 16 million pound to release him from Liverpool, gave him 5 million pound contract for 3 years and then spent 80 million pound in the market only to get a Champions League spot at the end of it?

Benitez is not proven to be an instant sucess, only a few managers are capable of such thing and Benitez is not one of them.
Tell that to Milan.

Oh the famous 3-3? was it not only years later he lost the final to Milan. Also 6 years at Liverpool and he's achieved nothing more than a second place in the league. Granted he did well with Valencia but domesticly with Liverpool he's been poor.

I don't even rate Prandelli as something special, but there is no doubt he's better than Del Neri.

I mean come on, this is fucking LUIGI DEL NERI we're gonna be stuck with. Holy shit. :sergio:

So this guy likes to set his formation with wingers? Could be a very interesting transfer market. From Krasic's to Pepe's, Dzeko's to Pazzini's and Kolarov's to Ziegler's. :weee:

Where was Liverpool before Benitez? They are a better team with him than without.

If you base instant success on making finals and winning trophies, Benitez made a final in each of his first three seasons at Liverpool (won 2 of them). Took a team that was finishing outside the top four consistently and transformed them into a contender. I'd say that's success.

Now if you think that any coach is going to take Juventus from 7th to 1st in a season when a major overhaul is needed (has been needed for three seasons now) you're mistaken.

I can't help but feel extremely underwhelmed given all the names we have been linked with.

I am not happy with this appointment. We were led to believe a top coach was in the pipeline, as Zac was clearly an interim solution. I am disappointed, but getting angry over it is a waste of time. Trying to understand the decisions of our board is a hair pulling exercise.

All we can do is hope, so forza Del Neri.

I never said we would, I said Benitez would not be such an instant sucess. The Liverpool fans crave to win the Premiership something they were used to many years ago and seems to be the one thing Benitez is incapable of doing.

FUCK!!! I don't like Del Neri, he is ITALIAN!!!
lol
Honestly - Capello, Hiddink, Lippi - they seem to be free, but we get Del Neri.
Andrea - to help you with that I will cancel my subscription and stop giving money to this old whore. I think it is pointless to break my heart on a weekly basis... This is truly brainless. Our only salvation is Real buying Mourinho.
FUCK THAT!

All that matters is that the coach does a good job at Juve, I couldn't care less what they did before. Previous success or failure guarantees nothing.

You are comparing Del Neri with Prandelli who has obviously been more successful in his career, you are the rollercoaster in this scenario.
I don't like to dwell on the past. With Fiorentinas superstar lineup Prandelli has failed to make the top 10 this season, that worries me.

How are Capello and Hiddink free when they are contracted long term to international sides?

agnelli just wants to compete with blanc and gigli who hired the worst manager....
and again we go with the cheap option....but atleast noone is surprised anymore....
on a positiv note i can't go much worser than this season....

after we hired on of the worst options as a coach i won't be to surprised if we turn from dzeko to gila and so on...
