Luciano Moggi:
Camoranesi arrived five hours late on the scheduled time. He arrived by taxi, unhooled his trolly and showed up at the gate of the hotel school that hosted us. Gate that remained closed, on my order, for about twenty minutes.
Then I told the security guards to let him in, but not to accompany him by car to the accommodation. Camoranesi had to go there on foot, dragging his luggage and passing in front of his teammates who were training. Of course, it wasn't kilometres, but it was a symbolic gesture, hard to chew for people not even used to opening the car door. The player had to learn well what it meant to be part of Juventus. Understand that we were his employer and he was the employee.
Overpaid, moreover. For all this, and not only that, he had to bring us respect. He like any other footballers, of course.
From that day, Camoranesi learned how to behave at Juventus. He was appreciated for his professionalism and dedication to the shirt, so much so that he played eight seasons with us.
