Ok I couldn't follow football at all in the last two years so I've been badly out of the loop, but what's up with Toni nowadays? Is he just really old so he's sitting on the bench or could we actually play him?

He's still good. Same Luca Toni, he doesnt move a lot without the ball. But how he's build and his instinct enable him to score.

Ahead of Iaq and Amauri fo sure.

Toni will most likely bang in a goal this season and retire in 2012.

Del Piero could retire too (hope not)

Amawri most likely will be sold in January

I could see Marotta rescinding Iaquinta's contract

And then we will sign Jewseppe Rossi next summer.

Toni would have been our best option during the Catania game and I think he should get a go to play in single striker situations. Better finishing than Matri IMO. Much better at heading too.

really should see more game time, especially when we are struggling to break the deadlock.

None of our other FWs have his physical presence and direct approach.

With this formation of packed midfield and crosses from winger.... i think he should see some minutes. His proficiency with headers and his physycal attributes makes him a good pressure soaker as a lone forward.

Arsenal consider Toni bid

Luca Toni is on the Juventus sidelines and could make a January move to Arsenal, according to reports.
The 34-year-old hitman has struggled for playing time since joining from Genoa, particularly now that Coach Antonio Conte has taken over.

He is on the market for mid-season along with Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta.

According to the latest reports, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Toni’s situation, considering him a valuable addition to their squad.

The 2006 World Cup winner already has overseas experience from his time at Bayern Munich.

I hope we keep him until his contract expires, sell Amauri and Iaquinta instead.

By next summer, we'll have Vucinic, Quagliarella and Matri. One free spot for a World class forward... Or Immobile.
