:sergio: Seriously? He should be on half that...
at first everyone here said it was a 1.5m a year deal, was satisfied with that but later Italian TV confirmed his wages were min 1M. Was making 4M in Genova so now 3M I think.
The Tony deal costs around 6M in total according to Sky yesterday(wages included plus others), although I dont understand the calculation behind that number

How some of you have conned yourselves into believing that Toni will get past what a mediocre player he is and rediscover the top form he hit briefly in the past is beyond me.
I dont get it either

I honestly dont, theres no such thing as a free signing , were still wasting money with this sack of crap through wages.

I thought we learned from the cannavaro incident to stop signing free has been , but oh well

oh give the paro shit a rest, it has 0 relevance to Toni, just simply a cheap shot and clutching straws.

and yes Juve have on the most part have had a transfer policy of buying less than well known players, fortunately i was a fan when i witnessed the days of juglovic, ferrara, boksic, zidane, conte, tacchinardi, etc... dont be telling me they were world class or extraodrinary players, they too also came from provincial clubs and they went on to win win honours domestically and in europe. I'm not saying every fairly unknown player who has joined Juve have succeeded, namely the likes of baiocco, blasi and o'neil just to name a few, but we as fans can't be expecting a influx of quality straight away, it just proves how spoilt we have been over the years.

and correction, talent doesn't win, it is all about balance and determination, something we seem to have rediscovered up till now
I believe that Marchisio will be better rated if he plays for Bacelona
take Iniesta for example, If he plays for this JUVE I doubt he will be 2010 best player nominee.

back t Toni,

when we consider all the (mostly lost) long balls from behind that Grosso and Bonucci send, Toni is ideal, he plays with his back to the goal in a perfect way.
receive the ball (unlike the helicopter Amauri) and he can hold it for any support to come on the wings or in the middle. I just hope he can pass it correctly though

since tonis strenght never actually depended on speed, pace or anything else age-related i think he could give us a few decent matches and it is probably not bad to have to big strikers in amauri and toni, so we can always play the same game tactics and do not need to totally switch tactics, because amauri is injured or vice versa
