Genoa has seen him for over 390 minutes. They didn't mind letting him go.

If you've seen a player play 100 times, seeing him once more shouldn't change your opinion of the player. If one fails to recognize that then you're simply having faith in something that isn't there.
Genoa don't have Krasic, Aquilani, Melo, Marchisio and ADP. A different team, different ambitions.

Do you remember someone called Dario Hubner? he was shit in his entire career until he reached 36, he became fucking awesome.

The point is, Andy, wait until you see him play for Juve. To tell you the truth, I'm not really happy about signing Toni, but considering he joined for free and accepted lower wages, I can give him some time to prove something.

Yep, few goals, insane salary for them, problems utilising him tactically, his age, doesn't really mean squat as far as Juve are concerned though. He's on a pretty short term contract for less money and we needed someone experienced and cheap.
All he needs here is goals, everything else means nothing.

Where's the rule that says that?

If Osama Bin Laden signed for Juve, would we still have to wish him the best?

No, of course not.
Its not a rule and noone said it was are you saying that you do not wish Toni the best? There is nothing wrong with wishing a new player the best or given him a chance to prove himself especially when he hasnt even kicked a ball for us yet. I dont like him at all but of course i want and can only hope he will do well here. Hope is all i have right now and Im sure it will all go out the window after a few dire performaces though and i will be wishing him the worst lol :D

We are a joke of a club. Signing this guy just makes me to be ashamed to be a fan of juve. Dzeko?? Who gives a shit, it's allllll about Toni.
This is a forum, I post my opinions and whatever I think about Juve no matter what the hive mind thinks. Today to ME is a shameful day to be a Juventus fan, how you can look at other supporters in the face and say "I'm PROUD to have Luca Toni in my team" is beyond me.
No one is pulling your hair. If you feel ashamed feel free to cheer for other team. We'll not cry.

Fan of the pedophile 'prophet'?? I wouldn't be surprised.

One would think after your ban you would come back with better posts and no more trolling or even not post when you don't have anything better to say.

Banned. Not only for this post but for 10's of your usual standard posts you've made here.

Good bye.

As for the rest, anymore off-topic posts or offensive posts to other members will be warned. It's okay to go out of the line once not more.

Hubner was banging in goals for Brescia long before 36. I guess we can all hope that Toni will become even better than before and finally put Gerd Muller in his place.

I kind of agree with Andy here. We can't lose sight of that big team attitude. We haven't won for a while and Calciopoli isn't an excuse anymore, it was 5 years ago. We need to have bigger ambitions and stop welcoming everything and everybody and hope they do good although thats not very likely. Its like, we sign Luca Toni and people think as long as he's decent then he's welcome, we sign Pepe and people think as long as he runs and plays defense on that flank then he's great, we sign Martinez that nobody knows shit about for 12m and people react positively without ever noticing the man before. We went from being lock contenders for the Scudetto by default cuz our name is Juventus to accepting panic signings just so we can make it to the Champions League for the last few years. Lets just go back to setting that bar much higher and actually start acting like a big team again cuz the shit I've seen come in and out of this team the last few years doesn't actually scream title contenders.

Then replace him with a player who is terrible.

But oh wait, I forgot. I'm debating this with someone who said Paro is the next Fabregas. Apologies.

Well said, Suns.

that is a very narrow minded view on a player, a player shouldn't just be viewed by what they offer and how they perform, a player's performance is also heavily reliant on the players around him. Many here criticised the quag move, some claiming he can't score consistantly enough simply because of his performances at udinese and last year with napoli, yet it seems the players around him at Juve and the tactical system in place is getting the best out of him again. Frankly speaking im sick of many here jumping the gun and quick to criticise, im sick of people using idiotic theories as to why we shouldn't give anyone a chance and how embaressed they are to support the team now, i find it incredible that after last summer's mercato many here still havn't learnt their lesson, go on flick back to the start of the simone pepe threads and the quagliarella threads, and compare it to the current pages. Same said for Del Neri, i was one of the very few here that supported his arrival, whilst many here were after the likes of pellegrini and rijkaard, now who here can still argue that Del Neri up till now has been a bad choice? learn to eat some humble pie!

Tell me how a big team in our situation acts. We went from being a default scudetto challenger before Calciopoli of course, I agree that mistakes have been made since but what do we do about it now, spend a lot of money, rack up some debt and hope it pays off? Unfortunately we are starting from the second tier of teams right now, trying to build up to the first tier. We wasted time and money already, seasons.

Stuff all the haters

Let's support him as a Juve player, not as Luca Toni - this guy can finish off a goal much better than all of our strikers when in form - let's hope he helps us forget the pain of Quag for a while
