Juventus close to agreement for Parma's Cigarini
tribalfootball.com - March 09, 2008

Juventus are on the verge of sealing a deal for Parma attacker Luca Cigarini.

Controcampo says Juve chief Alessio Secco has all but struck terms with Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi over an end-of-season agreement.

Juve will pay £7 million cash for Cigarini and also send a young player to Parma in co-ownership for next season. Prime candidate to make the switch is Juve midfielder Claudio Marchisio, who is currently on-loan at Empoli.
Tells a lot about the source.

Anyway didnt Ranieri say that Marchisio was the most mature Juve youngster and that he will come back in the summer?

Parma wants 10mil + marchisio for cigarini. Though i think cigarini is a lil better then marchisio but that is just madness. Cigarini would be great with marchisio not for marchisio
You're telling the truth here. But in my opinion, playing both of them next season won't work out, they are not mature enough. But for the future... But who are we kidding? Gigili and his group of yuppies would rather buy a tennisplayer than play some youngsters.

how do you know that Marchisio is not mature enough?he coped with the pressure of Juve last season and has done well in Serie A this year and for the U21s.

Im not saying that he should be our starter but definatly one of the backups for midfield.

So did Molinaro last season. It would be a very doubtful descision.

Marchisio and Cigarini... i would like to see those two in our midfielder but not next season...
IMO i think that if we are going to buy cigarini to put him on the bench it's rather not to buy him, because we will only destroy his development...

"It’s true, I just talked to Blanc (Juve director) yesterday. I want to forge a good relationship with Juventus. The personal relationship is already great, but I’m talking about possible transfers we can do together. Both clubs will gain something: We can give Juventus our young talents, and Juventus can give us players that don’t get enough playing time in Torino".

This is what Ghiradi said.,and apparently it appeared on Tuttosport.

Cigarini move on?
If the youngster he's talking about is Palladino, then this could be an excellent deal for us.

Cigarini In.
Palladino Out.

So Cigarini and Marchisio can be rotated. There's no guarantee of a massive midfield purchase as yet,and incase we dont end up with a VDV,Diego or Aquilani..Cigarani's purchase would be a good alternative. It would give Marchisio more playing than he would get if a big player was signed.

I like Cigraini but even if Palladino goes there this means someone will be sold from our middle...most likely Zanetti I think. If not maybe we won`t return Marchisio next year?

Something is wrong. We`re linked with many midfielders but we already got tons of them.

I doubt it will be Palladino though.I think he`ll go to Roma/Arsenal for part exchange for Mancini/Gilberto Silva

It could be Nocerino. It would be good for him and Parma I think.

looks good and these players will be able to change formation quite easily, however having criscito/olof as starters is a very bad idea we need to buy a good strong CB or we will get destroyed in c.l

The rumor was Cigarini to Juve and Marchisio on loan to Parma. :shocked2:
I'd rather that player be Nocerino. Cigarini and Marchisio make a great partnership.

Well, i don't know really how good cigarini is, since i haven't seen him play, but in that case, we just have to see who's the better player out of cigarini and marchisio. I can't comment on that, because i don't know the 2 players well enough, but giving marchisio another season on loan might not be that bad after all. I'd prefer that over giving away palla. Not because of palla but because of the fact that we need more depth in every department, and replacing players does not solve our problem. If you guys say marchisio is better for us, than cigarini, then screw it, take marchisio back!
