Cigarini, like all of Parma, choked big time today in a big match.

I would not want to depend on this kind of talent. We already have Nocerino for this kind of choking. :(

Juve scored most in the league, so yeah much more then Parma. But yeah I agree with the skepticism voiced. I would welcome him only as a squad player, he is a decent talent, but I he hasnt shown much of anything, and it would be a mistake to put much responsibilities on him.

But if anything, he is the only Parma player I would sign (or maybe our former Gasbarrone as Marchionni's replacement).

If you guys have watched Cigarini in the U21s and Parma regularly, you wouldn't be doubting him. He is a great player and I would definitely welcome him. Parma fanboys praise him pretty highly.

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Gasbarroni from our Primavera...and if we want him as a squad player, why waste money when we have good young players like Marchisio

Gasbarrone is a Right AND left winger, and isnt mr Glass like Marchionni. I would sign him for nothing only to replace Marchionni, nothing more. Better then sali and Palladino too for obvious reasons.

Marchisio is a dm and cm. Not a winger.

And yeah Gasba is one of our youth products, thats why I said ours in the previous post.

Cigarini is normally a better player. I've watched him on and off through the season. But he came up a complete zero for his club today when it needed him to stave off relegation -- he made clumsy fouls, got carded for a stupid tackle, etc.

The talent is obvious there to see, but I wouldnt expect much of him on the level he is in now. If he is signed, I would be afraid Ranieri would see him as the cm signing we should settle with. While he should be just a squad player for now, like Marchisio.

And no, I dont base this on todays game. Him not showcasing that high of a level is an overall observation, though he has slick and excellent passing range. In overall would like to sign him, but dont expect much of him yet as I fear obviously many would.

True but I am depending on Ranieri not being our coach next season so I am hoping that would not be an issue.

Ranieri being here next season is as dead certain as Del Piero being here.

And I would have been loathing that few months ago, but unless we can seriously get some big time coach (or even just prandelli), I want Ranieri to stay for next season.

I am still holding out on him leaving. I don't care how certain it is he is staying. I need to be able to look forward to next season for something.

Even just Prandelli?? I won't comment on that.
