Van Gaal is probably the third best coach we can get at the moment. Only AvB and DD are more exciting prospects. Personally, I'm not a fan, but he's better than anything else that we've been linked with. And him being around might up the kind of quality coming through our doors, as he cracks the whip on the goon from Sampdoria. Don't know about results going our way in the league, but I do know he'll attract better players than Del Neri or Mazzari ever could.

Then we should get a young promising Italian manager as his assistant, so he can succeed him after 2-3 seasons.. Italian coach with van Gaal influence could work wonders like with Mourinho.
