Today was the big day, was the big surprise BIG enough?
I saw yesterday's episode. What was the surprise? That we're on the third installment and haven't seen the Ewoks yet?

the most pointless show ever. when nothing makes sense and nothing ties in together and nothing is revealed one must question the credibility of the path of the show. thats just my opinion :p

TV serials are a tease. Give up too much, and people figure the story is over and lose interest. Give up too little, and people get frustrated with the lack of progress -- i.e., Twin Peaks.

This will be a program that goes out with a whimper, not a bang, unless they commit series suicide.

Exactly, either its calibrated to your taste completely, beeing an interesting and addictive series to watch, either you wont understand/respect and choose to ignore it because you lack the patience to gather all the good elements this serial has to give...

I know this is sick and wrong, and not only derails this thread, but I had to take a peek since a) it was in Rome, b) hot chicks

What's that??

I didn't like the season opener at all. Too much confusion thrown at us at once. Season ended with something totally different. When Jack nods to Freckles and Sawyer we all thought it was some kind of a set-up, like they expected all this to happen, then they start off this season with something totally else. They better start giving us some kind of answers or they've LOST me as a viewer :D

But LOST was always like that,
LOST is there to give you questions, not answers,
(thats why you are watching, if you want "cute" funny quotes, you would be watching friends, if you want more spectacle you would be watching baywatch etc etc)
questions that would chalenge your mind's attention to it,
what would you think? how would you react, in a similar occasion?

The series caracter's have been further developed now in a degree that would allow much more "substance" from the flashbacks and presentations

I agree, The first episode was very strong and finally gave viewrs more answers on the where abouts of the "others" (although we did see those camps in season 2 which was nothing like the opening in season 3).
Im anticipating to see how the other side of the island is doing and what will hurley tell them
