IT took us to get into the CL Final a couple season ago to turn a 2MM+ EUR profit, so I'm not surprised that we fell short on finances last year.

Still, there were a lot of free transfer signings out there where we should have had Moggi and crew digging around.... and signing more.

would it be fair to say that juve has made more money than it has lossed over the past decade. surely winning 5 scudetti, a CL and so on, the club has built up enough money to be able to spend even if a loss was made in the previous season. moggi spent big one season but sold big also.

anyway, we even this summer, emerson was bought but di vaio and maresca were sold. moggi hasnt really spent anything yet except chiellini.

Director General Luciano Moggi has been accused of ‘penny-pinching’ by the Italian press this summer, but the Juventus coffers are not as full as they once were. This morning the shareholders’ meeting closed the 2003-04 accounts with losses of £11.4m. Last year the Bianconeri ended the campaign with profits of £1.4m.

It’s an investment.

Ok, Last year JUVE was profit 1.4m (sell-buy market) but didn’t reach any champion!!!!!! profit really? IMO They lost/failed.

Waiting for the end of season the answer must show on JUVE lose or profit :D

I suppose the new stadium and investments in Mondo Juve are related in this context..

you cant make money unless you spend money
Tough but true lesson. You can't starve your way into profitability and expect success on the pitch.

yes, but once again, juve has always had money and has never spent silly unless they sold silly. if that made sense at all:D

being on the stock-exchange is the problem, juve wants to stay in the black. if they get in the red, it poses a problem IMO.

if roma are in debt and they spent...well they are not wise at all because they are still in debt. and those players who joined the club this summer could very well have to find another club this time next year if roma fail to win the scudetto or make it far in the CL. All roma are doing are setting themselves up for a Lazio fall.

you could say that, but reports have shown that they've raised in excess of 30m and in the process maintained/improved the quality of the team.plus they have the financial backing of a wealthy transfer mogul, which lazio didn't.

I don't think so. Sensi has shown, time and again, that he can find the necessary money when he really needs to. And if Roma do qualify for the CL (and how can they not with a squad like their's) then they'll be fine.
