Maybe he needs to get more creative. Veiga on the left and someone else in the middle e.g. Locatelli or Kalulu/Savona on the right. Normally I wouldn't be in favour of trying Locatelli in defence but he sits there a lot of the time anyway and the alternative is Kelly.
i bet he didn't consider playing with 4 at the back but having kelly, veiga and kalulu with zero backup and keeping the 3 man backline is a bit risky even with one game per week

loca in defense is a worst case scenario for me. he's an all right dm but he's pretty bad in the air. he'd lose every cross and we have problems handling those even with "natural" cb's
Every word of the two posts makes sense, and they are all pointing to one thing: Mckennie as CB incoming.

Guys i understand he is the scapegoat, but this is never his mistake on their goal, Ndicka comes from Weah/Nico zone and Mckennie misses the header. Kelly is covering Dovbyk there, look at the whole picture:

They're just seeking an obvious scapegoat. His transfer sum will haunt him forever but he was silently decent yesterday.

He is ok, nothing special, decent backup option for us in Serie A, most days won’t make costly mistakes but can be a liability when he’s not at his best against difficult opponents, however it’s ofc fair to look at it game by game to praise where it’s due and analize him objectively.

For his role and abilities he is an expensive gamble for us, on top of it he is injury prone too even if it didn’t show yet in that regard and is a big reason behind his inconsistencies, which is part of why many are finding it difficult to get behind him i assume.

Hes just athletic and quick for his size. Gives him a high margin for error which he definitely uses alot. He's like British Gatti

I'm deluding myself into thinking if he continues to start and finds good form towards the end of the season and especially during the club world cup that we could potentially make a decent profit selling him to another English club

Its always funny to me when fans insult players for their abilities or lack of...its not like it is their fault for that , and it is not that they are choosing themselves in the starting line up. If he is slacking on the field, if he is not giving his all, if he lacks the profesionalism or motivation, then yes, its on him, but otherwise, we should just chill....
