I know I'm probably making a huge mistake, but next season I'm thinking of putting a little bit of money on Newcastle and Liverpool. Do you guys think it extremely unwise to rely on the likes of Kluivert and Cisse making a difference?

No. I'm certain they will have a big impact. Though Liverpool and Newcastle aren't teams known for succes anymore. I believe Chelsea will manage to win the EPL without any problems this year as they've bought key players such as Drogba and Cech, and will have a strong midfield with the likes of Smertin and Makelele. But if Smertin is to leave, I can't see Chelsea still winning. It's important to have that kind of player in your team.

this season is either Man utd or Arsenal and i'm sure of it,no offence of course to the Liverpool,Newcastle and Chelsea fans
I think Chelsea will win the EPL, but that wasn't my point anyway I was just wondering if you guys think they'll make enough of a difference to be worth putting money on this season
but may i know what makes you expect that Chelsea can win the EPL this season,i mean i dont think their signings this season will make that much of a difference,Mourinho might improve thema bit,Ferriera isnt that convincing IMO,and lets face it neither Kezman nor Drogba proved that they're as world class as Crespo IMO,Kezman has got a great scoring average in Holland, but look how terrible his european average of scoring is,as for Drogba he still hasnt proved that he's more than a one season wonder.Robben on the other hand is the best signing they've did this summer after signing Mourinho of course.

gray I think putting money on Liverpool is never a good idea. They are a far way away from winning. And the thing with the pool, even when they get a great start and have a chance they always manage to **** it up

See that's the thing, it's a punter's rule to avoid the Reds and Man City at all costs, but I was just wondering if they've got any kind of chance of performing better with Cisse leading from the front. I'll probably have to watch a few games before deciding, though I did get some bling thanks to Stevie Gerrard last night

Not a chance. They might be good bets for the cup, but without a specialist right winger they'll just be a poor man's Chelsea with no pace in their back-line. I can't see them winning the league.
