I know.Dragging it on helped me cover up the embarassment temporarily:D

On a serious note,Rafa has wanted Aimar since he first took over at Liverpool. Its not really a new rumour.Just something that took a back seat when Aimar moved to Zaragoza. But still,i doubt if a move to Liverpool would help his career.Aimar was a great talent, but he's a has been now.The EPL's fast pace would do more harm for him than good.If he wants to rediscover himself, moving to Italy,or even back to Argentina would be the better move.

Valencia ready to sell Spurs, Liverpool target Silva
tribalfooball.com - April 25, 2008

Valencia are ready to sell midfielder David Silva.
Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in the Spain international and DiarioSport says Valencia management are ready to cash in on the winger as they seek to overhaul the squad after a disastrous campaign.

*God I hate that website. Like this would ever happen.

I think this guy is pretty much confirmed and not Rafinha. Rafa spoke about him in the press and its being reported over here. He is on a free by the way.

Yeah, Pennant is a bit rubbish and Dirk a striker.

I'd sell Crouch, but i know there is a lot of mixed opinion on him. What do you think?

Degen will be welcomed with open arms by myself at least. Finnan is a club legend but we need more than one true RB. Crouch is gone in the summer, bottom line. He is a great player but there is one problem with him a Pool. He doesn't fit into the scheme Rafa is looking to run.

Aimar played his best under Rafa and Rafa has clearly said he wants him. Rafa likes Spanish speaking players ;). Its rumored all over Spain that if Real Zaragoza is relegated( which its between Real Zaragoza and Valencia for relegation) he will be going to Liverpool. Make sense?
Damn, Liverpool are getting more and more sympathizing to me by buying my fav players, Torres and now Aimar... hmm I might stop hating them some time soon lol

Reds' Barry bid confirmed
Player-exchange deal offered by Reds

Last updated: 2nd May 2008

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has confirmed Liverpool have made a bid for Gareth Barry.

Reports earlier on Friday had suggested Liverpool had made a firm move to try and lure Barry to Anfield by making an approach to Villa.

Barry is widely believed to be high on the list of Rafa Benitez's summer transfer targets as he looks to build a squad capable of mounting a serious title challenge.

The England international's future has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with Chelsea also thought to be keen on his signature.

Barry, who has two years to run on his current contract, recently admitted he might have to consider his future at Villa as he wants to be challenging for honours at this stage of his career.

O'Neill confirmed Liverpool boss Benitez had offered a player-exchange for Barry with reports suggesting Scott Carson or Peter Crouch could be included in any deal.

Carson is currently on a season-long loan at Villa Park from Liverpool, while Crouch's future at Anfield is up in the air as he has struggled to hold down a place in the side this season.

It now remains to be seen if the two clubs can strike a deal with O'Neill thought to be interested in bringing Crouch back to Villa Park.
