No it's not a big exaggeration. You simply don't sell Vidal If you don't have a plan to deal with the money after the sale. That too, undersell him, in a year when you've already lost your most influential player of the last season in Tevez and a big personality in the dressing room in Pirlo. And we bought wold class players? The only world class players that I saw were the ones that left us this season. Nobody incoming was world class. Least of all our choice of AM, who I am actually a fan of, just not under these circumstances.
Also please don't preach on the forum when criticism towards the management is warranted. There is nothing you are saying here that makes me believe that anybody complaining about what has unfolded, is short of a fair sporting opinion.
That's easier said than done of course. You can not force a player to stay, nothing good comes from it... Alex Sandro is one of the best LB's around, hence world class. Dybala can easily be put in that category if we are still labelling Vidal and Pirlo world class after their seasons last year...
Criticism is warranted for the Hernanes deal, I agree. But there's obviously a huge amount of exaggeration as well and we still don't know how it'll pan out. He's easily a more creative player than Vidal for instance.
Also the fact we had to bring the age of the team down and the way we did it is a major factor here. 3-4 young additions next season and we're set for years, with 2 of them; Berardi & Vrsaljko already within touch.
This year my guess is we'll have a difficult season, regain our Serie A title and hopefully pass our difficult group stage. Anything more is a bonus at this point.
