The idea of showing who gave what will jus cause arguments or excessive praise... whats the point

Its the way its implemented that needs to be looked at

If my idea isnt taken into consideration then I suggest everyone that liked my idea to put their name in the comments box everytime they give someone a rep
read Paul's Post Fab,I think it's a good one.everytime you give someone a negative reputation, he will tell "which gay gave me that".or just look Burke's reaction, because I wrote my name in the reputaion.

but you obviously do andy, as you keep going on about it... And if someone told you who it was its a no brainer that you would go and ende up in an argument with them..

Then there should be a rule about if someone wants to argue with whomever gave them a negative post they cannot do it publicly, and they should settle that via PMs

It's also unfair how everybody has started out on equal playing fields...some people who don't have any rep at all have given more to this forum than some in the top 20 ever have and probably ever will. Why there was not some sort of introductory system is beyond me and this rep thing was destined to fail because of it.

People who give out neg rep should be required to give a reason why as well.

its not allways that simple, whether we like it or not, people will get into it rules or not, They jus use a different reason to argue with someone they feel wronged them...

Why do we see so often arguments between the same sets of people... they dont allways disagree, they seek confrontation with those they dont like... its normal

I know you gave me negative points yesterday :p

These were the only negative rep points I received that had a reason, and it was fair enough (I guess)

I don't care that much about it Paul...I know three who have given me neg rep and have only took the subject up with one of them. It's just frustrating how every time I look at my user CP I see another neg rep...for absolutely nothing. And besides that, it's comical what the neg rep was given for, hence me pointing it out.

Neg rep for starting the NHL thread is funny indeed...even you thought it was. :D

Then thats what mods are for. If they see certain members wanting an argument/trouble on why they received a neg rep then they should close that thread immediatly and warn those members. Mods should be able to do that its not that hard
