Lippi Set For Juventus Return

– Report Marcello Lippi could be set for a sensational return to Juventus in the summer, according to the Bologna daily, 'Il Resto di Carlino’.

Lippi is a hero in Turin after two hugely successful stints at the club in which he won five Scudetti, one Coppa Italia, one Champions League, one Intercontinetal Cup and a European Super Cup among many other honours.

Most Juventus fans are still dreaming that he may return to coach the club for a third time, and this may not be a too unrealistic possibility.

The Resto di Carlino claims that Juve are looking to bring Lippi in next season as technical director, whose role will be to sign players and direct other matters concerning the field of player.

Claudio Ranieri would remain as Coach, with Ciro Ferrara as assistant Coach, but whether or not the Tinkerman could remain in power with such a powerful figure in his shadow is very debatable.

Juventus want to bring in someone to conduct transfer policy after the disastrous dealings of sports director Alessio Secco.

Secco has been branded as incompetent in some quarters after a string of disastrous signings, including Jean-Alain Boumsong, Tiago Mendes and Sergio Almiron, and also for trying to sell Giorgio Chiellini last summer to Manchester City.

Lippi has revealed on many occasions that he will be returning to club management next season after his two-year sabbatical following the World Cup success in 2006.

Whether or not he will be prepared to take a more upstairs role at Juve remains to be seen.

That's correct, and he knows far more about football than Secco does without a doubt.

We need Secco out, so bring Grande Lippi in immediately.
I would like to see Lippi back as a sporting director, at Secco's place, and not as our new coach. But i think that it's all media BS. I believe that Lippi will coach next season a non-italian club.

Didnt he say he never had the desire to coach outside of Italy? Why wouldnt he come back...he could look really good cause he would be the guy to bring us back to our winning ways even if it has nothing to do with his coaching. He could lure top flight guys in here

Lippi hadn't say anything about that yet, and all these stuff seems to be desires by fans and the media. I am waiting from Lippi to take place about the prospect to return back to Juve and then we can make more positive debates to this issue.

Lippi as General Manager would be outstanding. The man knows talent and really knows his football.

What makes me even happier is that the media is finally firing scathing attacks aimed at Secco's resignation or firing. The man is a staggering incompetent who got lucky that the big players of Juve wanted to stay.

Sure he knows talent...but to say that great players will sign for us because Lippi is negotiating is a bit fat fetched imo...

Target: sooooo what do you want?

Lippi: Juve wants you. They are ready to pay 20 million for your club.

Target: anh why should I choose you instead of Madird, barca, Man U ?

Lippi: we can offer you 2.5 million a year.

Target: not enough. The other clubs have offered me 4 million a year.

Lippi: but I'm Lippi! and you will sign because I have won alot
!
Target:  goodbye

I'm not trying to disrespect Lippi. But having a massive reputation is not enough. You have to be a good businessman. Lippi as our manager on the other hand could actually tempt players to join us. If Lippi has the negotiation skills then hell yeah bring him back and fire Secco!!!

Bringing Lippi means:

-No other competitor will get him:p
-We have a back up coach between our staff, in case CR wants out:pumpkin:
-He will be a great addition to our broken prestige/image
-He is skilled and experienced, we really need both of these in our current staff
-An established football man, will draw more media attention to us and will give as stability and prosperity, only by his seer presence,
more sponsors and better deals will follow...
-The media will treat him and Juve with more respect
-The football managers will treat him and Juve with more respect,
negociations will reach a whole new level and deals that Secco is impossible to accomplish, may become possible
-Lippi's insight and experience will help us make the right choices and avoid the mistakes our current managers are bound to do, he will help us restructure our team, in the most difficult point of Juve's existence, more efficient than any another man. He knows what he wants and how to get him. Even if our noob managers have the will to help Juve, they need some proper guidance:toast:

PS: It wont happen, its just to good to be true...
