i dont think he will be returning to the azzuri, even if he was offered the job.

There will be many interesting options from clubs that he could go to, instead of just going back to an azzurri team thats weaker than it was when he was coaching.

I don't think he had any offers as yet, except from EPL for mid table team..
Even when Barcelona was mentioned he denied as was not true.
So, who does want him? I mean BOD wise not supporters..

there is a news about Capello that he could go to jail if found guilty up to 4-6 years for withholding information..

Fabio Capello: Jail, 'Three Liars’ And Juventus

“THREE LIARS ON HIS SHIRT – Fabio faces jail for perjury,” says the Star’s front-page headline.

Capello is not to be charged with the crime of not making England world beaters in an instant. The Star says Capello is being “probed by Italian prosecutors after giving evidence to a football bribes hearing. And he could face four years in jail if found guilty of lying or withholding information.”

The Telegraph tells of “millions of pounds of fines and six years in prison”.

Capello was previously found guilty, by a court in Como in 2003, of pretending to live in Switzerland in order to minimise his tax payments. However, it is no coincidence that the potential legal proceedings looming over him have arrived at this particular moment, just as he left Italy for England.

In Turin, the tax police said that their investigation into Capello’s finances came about “because he was appointed to manage England, and his profile rose rapidly”.

If found guilty of both offences and jailed for each separately, Capello could be put in choky for a decade. Jail him now and he could be talked about as the greatest manager England ever had. He’d be FABio. Indeed, jail may be preferable to football failure and becoming CRAPello.

Over in Italy, Capello has been bearing witness at the legal proceedings linked to the cheating scandal that hit Italian football two years ago.

At the time Capello was manager of Juventus, who were demoted two divisions. Capello is not accused of being involved in any of the wrongdoing, even if the Star does stick three liars on his shirt.

In Rome, Capello was asked about his knowledge of a sports agency called GEA, which, the Star says, used to manage the careers of several Italian footballers. The Times says Gea was managed by Alessandro Moggi, the son of Luciano Moggi, the Juventus general manager.

Prosecutor Luca Palamara grew angry with Capello when, during an hour of evidence, he replied to questions by saying: “I don’t remember.”

Says Palamara: “Whoever is called to give evidence is obliged to tell the truth so we can avoid this tam-tam of 'I don’t remembers’.”

Palamara will now review all Capello’s statements. And the English FA will begin to look upon Sven Goran Eriksson’s tenure as boss as a time of rare achievement and glory…

Lippi's ready to return

World Cup winning Coach Marcello Lippi has enjoyed his break from football, but is looking for his next job.

The wily tactician, who turns 60 on Saturday, has been taking a Sabbatical since leading Italy to glory in the summer of 2006.

Despite a raft of offers, Lippi has remained unemployed and has taken the chance to enjoy life outside calcio.

Why would my break have been too long, given all the gratifying things that I have done?” he said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

I have finally visited cities, museums and restaurants and seen thousands of games.

“I’ve given talks in almost every country in Europe, as well as in 17 Italian universities and lectured businesses about leadership and teamwork.

“I have seven or eight offers from national sides, but not England. But I believe that a Coach who wins a World Cup can’t lead another nation.

“I have also been approached by about 15 clubs from France, Spain, England, Italy, Greece, Turkey and more.

“But now I have realised that I want to return to the bench. I miss the contact with the group and building something with an important objective
.”

Lippi has been widely tipped for a return to the Azzurri hot seat should Roberto Donadoni fail to deliver at Euro 2008.

I have never regretted leaving the Italy job, as I am coherent in my choices,” Lippi explained.

My only sadness is that I can’t just go to a stadium and watch a game because I am immediately linked with that team’s bench.

“When I was asked if I would ever return to the Italy job I gave a logical reply without wanting to interfere with the great work that Donadoni is doing.

“I have respect for Don’s decision to refuse the contract and I hold him in high regard. He has a great group that can win Euro 2008 – I haven’t seen many better squads
.

Lippi concluded his interview by praising some of the top men in Serie A this season.

I think that Antonio Di Natale has been the best Italian player of the year,” he maintained. “He has such technical ability and sacrifices everything for the team.

Roma play the best football and Luciano Spalletti has done so well to get results while still playing in an entertaining style.

“But Roberto Mancini would deserve the Golden Bench award if he wins the Scudetto after three in a row.

“Sampdoria have been the surprise package and are doing exceptional things. They could get a Champions League place and they have grown beyond the addition of Antonio Cassano
.”
