Too bad the man denied the national team, ones again..
Some conflict between Lagerbäck and as everyone knows him and Freddie (Swedens NT captain) doesn't get along. I hate that he has to punish the whole nation for that.
Anyways, I hope he wins it sometime. I don't think he will, but I hope so. I think he will be considered top10 for the rest of his career but there is always someone that outshines him, even if it's just a little, in the world.

As much as I personally would want Zlatan on the team I can't help to feel that his decision isn't uncalled for. Ljungberg has been dissing friendly games for a decade by faking injuries, Zlatan is just honest (even though he's not saying anything). Now, if he won't be back for the Euro qualifiers, I also will want to start questioning his behaviour but for now I'll leave it at that.
As for "punishing the whole nation", it is not unjustified, even though your way of putting it is a bit harsh. It's no secret the average Swedish football fan is a racist bigott (have a look at some Swedish sports forums), and plus media ridiculing Ibrahimovic saying we don't want him back after we beat Spain 2-0 at home.
My hatred towards Aftonbladet is beyond words.
Come on, Cannavaro has just been awarded this 2 months ago, why not wait until june and after before this becomes an issue

Coach Lars Lagerback seemed keen on repairing the rift and stated that the player would be available for the next Euro qualifiers.
However, he did not include him in his latest squad for the upcoming friendly with Egypt, after speaking with the striker himself.

Perhaps I exaggerate a bit. But I think he is important to Sweden, in many ways.
