Marcello Lippi has proved that old habits die hard by winning the Chinese domestic double in his first season with Guangzhou Evergrande.
The 64-year-old, who steered Juventus to league and cup success 17 years ago in the 1994/95 campaign, masterminded a 5-3 aggregate victory over Guizhou Renhe to seal his second trophy of the season.

A side note - their previous manager also won the league in the season before they appointed Lippi, and he had a considerably better win percentage than Lippi currently has.

Evergrande are basically the Chinese version of Man City, they pay 'good' players the same as top players in Europe to play over there.
