Quite, Solaris 10 switched to gtk, most Unixes still use other toolkits, though, motif is still prominent.

Apple is a bit like Inter.

Whenever they buy an expensive star, you get all these fake fans following him.
They have their original loyal supporters.
They have a rich history.
The late 80's were good.
They had a tough time in the early 90's.
They saw a resurrection in 1997. (iMac and Ronaldo)
They're doing ok now, but they're finding it tough to get to the top.

Btw people, what do you use matlab for? I've always wanted to use it cause I heard so many good things about it but I never needed it and math is not a strong point for me either.. (?)

I use it for signal processing. It's handly for dealing with large matrices too.

I used it mainly for complex matrix problems. This was when working with power buses, the matrices are exhausting to work with. Then nowadays, I just write some routines where I need to do calculations for things. The Simulink is quite interesting as well, I am not that good in that part of the program, but I can imagine its potential.
