Basic Installation
==================

Before attempting to compile this virus make sure you have the correct
version of glibc installed, and that your firewall rules are set to `allow
everything'.

1. Put the attachment into the appropriate directory eg. /usr/src

2. Type `tar xvzf evilmalware.tar.gz' to extract the source files for
this virus.

3. `cd' to the directory containing the virus's source code and type
`./configure' to configure the virus for your system. If you're
using `csh' on an old version of System V, you might need to type
`sh ./configure' instead to prevent `csh' from trying to execute
`configure' itself.

4. Type `make' to compile the package. You may need to be logged in as
root to do this.

5. Optionally, type `make check_payable' to run any self-tests that come
with the virus, and send a large donation to an unnumbered Swiss bank
account.

6. Type `make install' to install the virus and any spyware, trojans
pornography, ***** enlargement adverts and DDoS attacks that
come with it.

7. You may now configure your preferred malware behaviour in
/etc/evilmalware.conf .

Why does Linux users so dumb that they don't make stuffs like ActiveX? it'll be easier.

Why doesn't linux have ActiveX? Because linux is not a gaming platform, which is what ActiveX was developed for to begin with. Both linux and windows have OpenGL for 3D programming.

erl,I was joking here.since there's lots of windows virus and spyware coming from ActiveX.
Don't you think it'll be nice if Linux have some software with as lots of hole ActiveX used to have.
It'll save the user from typing all those commands there.

That's just not realistic. It's not really about what ActiveX offers in terms of features, it's all about how it's implemented, security not being a concern. Unix/Linux is inherently more secure, which makes any exploit far, far less effective. Just the way it is.

ActiveX is just one of the things that makes Windows insecure, it's by no means the only reason.

Really? For gaming? I always ActiveX was Microsoft blowing smoke to counteract the press releases and early deployments of Java Web client technologies... totally missing the point that Micosoft was going to get eaten by it on the server side.

I was making fun of windows Martin. though I'm not a linux geeks. I know well that you need to login as root to make reasonable damage to Linux OS.

btw, do you ever use Microsoft IE? there's lots of website using ActiveX to install spyware on your computer. and it's a pain when your sister is a good girl that only know to click "yes" on all dialog box.
