Though I don't think he's all that new per se. I first recall noticing him when he joined DJ Shadow and James Lavelle on a cut off UNKLE's brilliant Psyence Fiction album, and that was about 7 years ago. But that cut sounds nothing like his "regular" stuff -- which is quite good and earnest.

(Made me tear my pants once, but that could have been what I had for dinner. )

Thats funny. They come from two completely different directions, so imagining them collaborate is weird.

BDB has been rather hit-and-miss over the past few years, but afaik his label is heavy-handed and tried to influence the sound of his albums. I didnt think anyone else even know who DJ Shadow was
