Yep. At the time Benatia was doing pretty good as well.

But now he is just a liability. His long-range passing isn't even a strength anymore. You see Bremer needing to clean up his mess constantly. Going forward he should not be a starter anymore, field Danilo (who also shouldn't be a fullback any longer) and Bremer as our CBs and build from there.

Whats even sad, is we know he is finished, yet we are playing him as a first choice CB along Bremer( who so far haven't set the world on fire himself as well) because the options we have is even worst in Rugani and Gatti. Its like the management was ok , we can move ahead with this and depend on Danillo who is a RB to play as CB . This then forces us to play Cuadrado every week either in a RB or RW and we know he has lost his legs as well and need rest.

It can't be overstated how everybody saw this miles away. Even after signing Bremer, the depth and even the starting quality of the entire defense is putrid.
