Yeah, true, i also wanted to point out longetivity ofc as one of the main factors, but at least this season it was mainly on Chiellini's injury and Buffon being a 2nd choice that basically projected Bonucci in the position of not only being the starter with most appearences for the club but also in fact being the only italian player we've had as an guaranteeed starter all season long. Which does make for a fair point aswell.
