In no way shape or form is sending caldara to Milan even with a recompra a good deal for us.

He will not gain more experience at Milan. They are a shit show, and their team is a mess. If you wanted caldara to gain more experience and play with consistency we could of just sent him back to Atlanta where they have Gasperini who actually has been helping younger players develop. Also Milan and Atlanta are both in Europa, it's not like Milan is playing in the cl. If we were to ship him to Milan and add a recompra, all we are doing is spending money on bonucci who is not worth anywhere near the 40m and we are paying more for our own player to be developed at that mess of a club

Also if we want to further state our ambitions in the cl, we sign a wc midfielder not a defender who had arguably one of his worse seasons in his career.

Even though I've been playing the doom and gloom card, I do not see juve sending caldara anywhere. It makes no sense to deprive ourselves of both rugani and caldara.

They could be back with a new owner and pull a fake deal with a Chinese club just to get rid of the recompra leaving us with nothing in hand. Today it seems unlikely that they'd be back but these things could change overnight with one good season for them and a new owner. Love it or not, they are a big club and Leonardo is no rookie. Other than that, Caldara could refuse to go back, you never know.

Bonucci should be a closed chapter for us. He made the choice, we sold him to a rival for a shitty amount of money just to respect his will and make the locker room calm and nice again. I don't think he's got any smarter or humble after a year in that shithole too. Let him rot there with his salary and captain armband. We've got the players for present as well as for the future in that department. If anything, we should cash in on unnecessary players and look for a proper B2B rather than spend it on an unnecessary, overpaid and overpriced CB.

Caldara going to that toxic environment could only be bad for us. Like you said, might as well have continued at Atalanta if he wanted more playing time. He's here to improve his level even more. It doesn't make sense for him to go to Milan with or without buyback.
