One of the best defences out there, defence goes bunch of games without letting one goal in(with Bonucci being part of almost every second) and being main reason why we've won 2 scudettos in a row.. and now we should sell him?

Sometimes I wonder if too much gets put on his shoulders, having to be the central anchor in a 3 man defense, and being the one primarily responsible for bringing the ball up from the back.

Bonucci is incredibly protected by the other 2 CBs. He basically does no man-marking and very rarely gets caught in space. He just has to sweep in behind Barza/Chiellini and pick up loose balls. His job is so easy that we once had Vidal doing it and last year Marrone was his back up FFS.

The fact that he still manages to get beat so easily and to make so many mental errors is really quite deplorable.

I'd say Chiellini has been a lot worse than Leo this season. Does he cop the same backlash? Nope.
That's obvious for the non-biased fans out there.

It's not easy when you're used to playing with Pirlo and all of a sudden you're responsible to bring the ball from the back, especially with a man down for most of the game.

Seriously, on one-one-ones he just looks atrocious and plain awful. No confidence, no clue, nothing. Basically he's only useful when we're in possession, to do a coupla long balls/decent through passes, but even most of those turned out sh!tty tonite..

That's because Chiellini hasn't been worse and Chiellini's one of our best defenders if not the best. Unlike Bonucci, Chiellini is always tasked to mark against the opponents best man.
Chiellini has awful ball playing skills and that's what people notice at times, missed easy pass or two, but his defending is of the highest level.

This is pretty much it. He is really comfortable on the ball, but by no means is that the sign of a defender who should be starting for a club like Juve.

Chiellini's criticism comes from the fact he's really retarded in possession and surges forward like Lucio at times only to lose the ball. But his 'defending' actually has been good or atleast improved a lot since the early part of the season.Much better than Bonucci.
