One thing i didn't like about Chiellini-Bonucci partnership is that they're both slow. we can have a serious problem playing with an advance defensive line against a faster forwards that play that long ball behind our defense.

Hopefully delneri already saw that and he's doing something about it.
chiellini isn't slow :sergio: , their arent many fast cb's in the world.

Like installing turbos on the players? The best he can do is adapt a tactical approach that suits slow central defenders and I don't think he's capable of that.

I thought he did well, especially in the first half. Made some good saving tackles in our box, albeit somewhat dangerous.
The main saving tackle he made was good, but it was recovering from some very poor play by him and Motta.

The two of them seemed to fail to communicate and just let the guy run off them. Poor to allow a player in behind off a simple straight ball over the defence.

Bonucci can surpass Chiellini.
Yea.

IMO he has what Chiellini never had nor will learn. It's calmness and using more brain. I think Bonucci can play much better when it comes to ground, he reminds me of Juan and old Cannavaro sometimes. That duo is amazing, but I think Bonucci can improve a lot, while Chiellini will be like this (which is not a bad thing at all)
The potential is there, but he has a long way to go.

He needs to learn to drop off and act as sweeper, as he is pressing up too much just and he's getting too tight to forwards and giving away silly fouls.

He'll be a far better footballer than Chiellini, but he has a long way to go to get close to Chiellini's level defensively.

Chiellini isn't slow  , you serious ?
Chiellini may not be fast, but he certainly isn't slow by CB standards.

As he has already shown, covering for Bonucci in both Juventus games and the Italy fixture, even taking cards because of it.
