His disciplinary issues don't worry me honestly. He's taken a pay cut, that's a good sign. And when a player like Ronaldo comes in, your head can't remain too deep up your rectal passage. Ronaldo will have humbled any player in the squad who were beginning to think that they were too good for the club. The only player who has the right to be a prima donna will be Cristiano but contrary to popular belief, he's actually pretty good like that.

Surely Bon is feeling a tad sheepish after making a mistake as silly as it was. He also should realise how fortunate he is to return (doesn't happen a lot, especially in his circumstance). I expect a few contrite words directed at fans to sooth the situation. Leaving over bad blood with the coach is completely understandable, but his celebration against us was straight up bad diplomacy. Not something an ex Juve great would have done.

In the end we strengthened Milan in a big way, but we are certainly stronger after this deal. When Bonucci is in a system he likes and has a good understanding with his peers he can defend very, very well. He still has the speed Chiello and Barza have lost. As long as he doesn't try to be a hero, his work in possession will keep goals out and assist a few as well I hope. No other CB in the world can play those long balls onto goal from their own defensive third. Don't know if he managed an assist of that variety with MEELAANN but Ronaldo is an off the ball genius so I'm expecting a few of those.

Welcome back, Leo.

Hopefully you recognize what a foolish foolish error you made in ever thinking you were not a Juve man.

Show humility and a willingness to restart from the bottom of the pecking order, earn your spot back and all will be forgiven.

Bonucci: ‘Juventus my home’ | Football Italia

Leonardo Bonucci calls Juventus “my home” following his return from Milan after just 12 months.

The centre-back won six Scudetti in a row with the Bianconeri, but in the 2016-17 campaign he had a falling out with Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

That prompted a transfer to Milan last summer, but tonight the Italian international returned in a swap deal with Mattia Caldara.

“It was difficult to imagine that this would happen, but it’s fantastic that it has,” Bonucci told Juventus’ official YouTube channel.

“I’m excited. Turin is my home and Juventus is my home, so I’m really happy to be back.”

It remains to be seen how Bonucci will be greeted by the Juventus fans, as while some welcomed him back he was also whistled and insulted earlier today.
Do not fret over the doubters, Leo. They can whistle, they can claim an unproven 23 y/o they've never seen is better than you, they can support Giovinco, they can cancel their Juve memberships. Just do what you do.

Bonucci to claim his ideal was nesta

- - - Updated - - -

“I admired Alessandro Nesta a lot because he set the mark of this new way of defending and playing the ball,” he told acmilan.com, shortly after his surprise £35m transfer from Juventus in July.

Between 2002 and 2012, Nesta won the Serie A and the Champions League twice and his name is mentioned in the same breath as Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta and other San Siro icons.

“He was always elegant, with perfect timing. He was a role model. I was lucky to meet him on the pitch and it was the first time in my life I got emotional when I asked a legend like him to swap shirts.”

It’s an exciting time to be a Milan fan after so many years of underachievement for a club with a reputation as big as theirs and Bonucci, 30, now has the chance to make his own mark in the red and black shirt.

“When I set foot inside the museum it was really breathtaking seeing the legends that have worn this shirt and what they have done for this club.”

And despite making his name as a defender, he revealed he only took up the position when he was 16, moving from defensive midfield and he even spent time as a striker.

He lists Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero as another one of his idols because “scoring goals, delivering assists was something that always fascinated me,” however, in terms of defenders there was just one player to look up to.
