Juventus To Pounce For Ledesma?
Juventus are preparing to hatch a cunning plan which will relieve Lazio of unwanted midfielder Christian Ledesma, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
The Bianconeri have been looking for a decent midfielder as they attempt to off load Tiago from their books. Now, Biancocelesti man Ledesma could be the Old Lady’s next arrival.
Il Corriere Dello Sport reports that Juve boss Claudio Ranieri is keen on Ledesma, who is on his way out from the Stadio Olimpico. The Argentine has fallen out with coach Delio Rossi and president Claudio Lotito, so an exit looks likely.
Juve are now trying to convince Lazio to part company with their player and they have designed two plans in order to facilitate a move. Plan A involves a loan deal with the right to buy him permanently. Plan B, alternatively, would involve a permanent deal via hard cash.
Lazio are keen to get rid of him as Lotito will risk losing Ledesma on a Bosman next season. The player has also threatened to use FIFA’s article 17 rule, which states that players can break their contracts with their clubs under certain circumstances.
Juventus are lying in wait and they will try to seal the deal this week, as the transfer window closes for business next Sunday.
