Bari: 'Juve stole Rinaudo off us'
Wednesday 1 September, 2010
Bari have accused Juventus of “stealing Leandro Rinaudo from under our noses. This rarely happens in football.”

The Napoli defender was expected to join Bari, but on deadline day instead secured his transfer to Juve.

“We are missing a defender. Yesterday we encountered something that rarely happens in football,” said director of sport Guido Angelozzi in a Press conference.

“Up until 3pm we had a contract signed by Rinaudo and also an agreement with Napoli. Then the club started to take time out, as it needed to find his replacement.

“We had beaten competition from other clubs and were told that the player was ours as long as they found a suitable alternative, otherwise Rinaudo would stay at Napoli.

“Then at 3pm something unexpected happened as, after Juve had been turned down by Kakha Kaladze and Marco Borriello, they didn’t know who to grab and went after Rinaudo.

“At this stage Napoli were picking up Emilson Cribari and Juve stole the player from under our noses. I have to be honest, yesterday I was angry with the player and his agent, because they didn’t behave ethically with Bari.

“We deserved more respect. Thinking over it last night, I realised Juve still have that aura and prestige. Never mind.”
That just sums up our transfer season :sergio:

You know what we should give Rinaudo to Bari, all in favour say "vitiligo"

Bari can go f*ck themselves. They should be angry with Napoli and the player himself who had made an agreement with them not Juventus.

What you say doesn't have anything to do with my post:sergio:

Buying someone from Bari is one thing while competing with Bari to sign players is a totally different thing.
Where a player is from and who you are competing with to sign him is irrelevant.

Nothing matters apart from the quality of the player.

yep was decent, you could see clearly that he had been instructed to become the 3rd CB alongside Chi and Nucci, and not to push forward too much.

Didn't know that he could play rightback, good to know we have another option there and he even managed to put in a decent cross or two on the rare occasions that he ventured forward.

Which is IMO a terrible thing and it will be noticeable against strong teams. You're not supposed to play with 4 CBs because we sure did. Grygera is not even moving from left back position. A team with proper fullbacks would run over us.

And still against Cagliari we could've conceded at least 3 goals. It's really pathetic. Our defense is a joke.
