His net wages will matter when we try to sell though. If no one will match them he will stay like Ramsey did and Rabiot did
But they are irrelevant when talking about his cost to the club. He’ll be here for a few years. He’s just turned 28 this summer. And he’ll be decent imo. As long as we don’t extend his contract, I’m not fussed about his signing. Would prefer if he was on a million or two lower wages, but that’s not the end of the world given his gross isn’t that bad.

If he turns out complete bust like Ramsey, we'll have the insurance of not triggering the buy option.

That said, I genuinely think he'll be a key player for us.

He seems to me as a directo imñrovement on arthur since he hugs the ball but also can do quick passes Forward and make himself available for the defender to start the play.

I think he will do good and could potentially unlock the problem we have on midfield

7.5m net salary? Higher than Vlahovic? Wtf is that?

Is this the same Paredes that played for Roma and then went to play in Russian Premier League? Or did they rebuild him in St.Petersburg/Paris and now he's a super hero version of that Paredes? Because the player that I remember was a 1.5m-2.5 midfielder, definitely not a 7.5m one.

In the same summer that we're dying to get rid of Ramsey and Rabiot we're making eerily similar deals with Pogba and Paredes.. Since they're 29 and 28 yo there's a clear suspect who pushed for those deals. :p
where did u get the numbers regarding his salary???

Well we are notoriously bad at wages, it turns out even our 9th (really?) highest player can be severely overpaid :p
that his salary from PSG , I have high doubts juve agreed to cover his full salary , I'm sure we are paying like max 5 mil the rest psg , no way we would pay so much as if we were ready to pay so much we coulve take other players (better)

Yeah he will be good for a few years. How good? No one knows now, but he wont be a Ramsey like bust unless serious injuries happen. Youre right, for the club his cost wont be as high as it sounds when you say 7M net. But i always try to look few mercatos ahead. If hes good enough for us to not want to sell him, hes worth it. If we try to upgrade, it would become a problem i think

There is also the obligation. I assume the conditions are number of performances and/or team success, so i think it will be triggered in the end

I wish I could find a video of his performance against Bayern in the 2020 final because he created at least 2 or 3 clear cut chances in that game for Mbappe, Neymar and co.

Anyway, this quarter final performance against the same team a year later shows some of his quality against a hard pressing side:
