Monaco can go $#@! themselves

Torino... should've sold to them

Lazio... should've sold to them

WHY DO WE KEEP HANGING ON TO GIOVINCO, only to use him out of position or keep him benched because he's $#@!.
It wouldn't make any sense to sell Giovinco unless we brought in another attacker. I'd rather keep Gio than sign someone like Denis.

Giovinco is useful as he is homegrown. It's obligated to have these, you know... And we're thin as we are upfront.

I think we did. We added depth, and our young talent is maturing.

Just by the fact that Llorente actually played football last year, Tevez is used to serie a, and pogba is one year older, we're better. My worry is the defense, without barzagli, I have less confidence in th defenders.

Evra though was a great addition. Morata can only surprise positively. Pereyra I think will be a great player due to his versatility. Also, Coman looks like surprisely nice addition. Adding a central defender would be key though.

If I could add Four positions:
- central defender - nastasic/ howedes
- attacking midfielder (Shaqiri/Roberto firmino)
- additional right back (more of an attacker though - danilo from Porto would be beautiful)
- reserve striker (Denis? Paloschi?)
but we've been adding depth for years and the usual investments in youth but what im saying is since we need to improve in europe has any of the players we brought in really able to push us further? yet these 'depth' signings are adding to our financial restrictions it's almost like we're just going around in circles

Hard to imagine Romulo not doing enough for us to spend some pocket change on him

Pereyra is young, hard working and versatile. So we'll end up buying him unless he flops. That's for sure.

The squad is better than it was last season. There's no doubt about that in my mind so from that point of view the transfer window was a mild success. We didn't improve our starting lineup though so I can't give the mercato higher than 6/10.

It's funny when you look at reports of last days mercato in italian websites, unlike previous years they dont have almost anything to report regarding Serie A, majority of news is about foreign transfers.

We dont aim at improve our starting lineup immediatly, but rather buy players who got the potential to do so

Its amazing how many fans dont give a shit about juventus

Wow, what a silly comment.

Just because somebody doesn't rate our mercato means they don't give a shit about Juventus. That makes no sense.

First it was 'wait, September is long way ahead, I'm sure we'll buy a top player and improve our line up'

Then it became 'don't worry, we saved that bid for Iturbe and we'll surely buy somebody upfront'

And now it's 'we never wanted to improve starting XI'.

Sure man, sure.

C'mon man. Of course we aim to improve our starting line-up immediately, if the opportunity presents itself. Every club aims to find purchases that immediately improve their starting XI. If this isn't financially feasible, or the market doesn't present the right opportunities, the club switches to improving the bench, and finding potential stars of the future.

However, banking your future on players with high potential is not the way to become a club with sustained success, as the majority of these players don't live up to potential. We all hope they do. Coman, Sturaro, Berardi, Pereyra, Rugani, Leali, Morata, and so on... Even if not one of them becomes a Pogba story for us, if a couple become 30+ mil rated players that will be amazing, but our club isn't going to be very successful on the European stage if we don't at some point start spending money on established starters.

Have i ever claimed we were going to buy a new forward ?

I have allways claimed that with Allegri the team was good as it was, but that we could use a trequartista. Then i saw Pereyra and Coman in the preseason and understood that we actually had done just that.

Especially after Allegri came, i've said its not adviced to make a big spending cause you dont fully trust the coach, and we should do with what we had.
Dule, dont accuse me of something i didnt do please.

What i'm pointing out here, is that some people have absolutely no clue about how our finances are and what we can realistically purchase, dont want us to sell Pogba/vidal, but then go like "no new starter was bought ? 5/10.

I find it insulting. Good weather fans really. Dont give a shit about what the club does, and only interested if we are winning

Have i said otherwise ?

Marotta for the past 3 years has focussed on "getting players if the price is right". However our starting 11 became so good that has become pretty difficult to do.

If we can, sure we'll do that. In the meantime, we focus on these big talents like Pogba, Coman, Rabiot, Sturaro, Berardi, ...
