He's not in danger of dying.

His real problem now is that he was in the company of a girl who's not his gf. And his current gf (Martina Stella - Italian celebrity/actress) is really hot..he woul be stupid to lose her.
He is stupid, but we already knew that..

Why would this make him unfit for a prominent position at Juventus or indeed at FIAT?

Did you think Gianni and Umberto Agnelli were saints in their 20's, 30's and even 40's? They have done enough coke back in those years to fill the trunk of a Fiat Multipla.

No, the reason why he seems unfit for the job is that he doesn't exactly come across as the sharpest knife in the drawer. Heck, he's just been awarded the "Tapiro d'oro" for his inability to use subjunctives the other day.

Anyway, for all the lack of sympathy I usually have for the woes of those born with a silver spoon in their arse, I hope he recovers.
Did they end up in an hospital after an overdose though? Makes a big difference to me. There might be a thin line between the odd line of coke and being hospitalised, but it's a line that matters to me.

He has recovered from the worst so he's getting better now.

But seriously, anyone who thought rich people don't take cocaine is naive. I mean I'm not surprised at all.

The odd line of coke? Dude, you may want to read Gianni Agnelli's biography . The life of that man has been one big orgy until he was well into his 40's. The main difference being that there wasn't such things as Gala, Hello! and what not at the time, so most of it came to the surface only years later.
I might. But the thing is that it's only a problem when you're being hospitalised on a consistent basis or when it puts your mental capacities in jeopardy.

It's like alcoholics. You have people who don't drink much for weeks, but suddenly go crazy and drink too much. But the real problem are those who drink a lot on a daily basis. If Elkkan's one of the latter, there's a serious problem.

Who says his grandfather hasn't overdosed a few times when he was living la vida loca as a filthy rich young man with a phoney managing position at Fiat?

And who says Lapo is addicted to cocaine? For all we know, he might just be an occasional user who needs a smaller dose than others to overdose.
I'm not saying I know anything about this specific case.

Yeah, though she said she dumped him weeks ago cos of different lifestyles. It's a bigger loss for him than for her I think.

What a hypocrit she is!!! 8 months ago she was saying "I love him, I treasure this feeling, we share the same lifestyle, which makes us get along very well" And now she says "We broke up coz our lifestyles were too different"!

    Whatever...

Martina Stella pazza di Lapo Elkann: "Siamo simili in tutto"
    Mer 09 Feb, 12:44 PM

I think it was a nice way to dump him without being the "cornificata";)
Now she plays the superiour woman, so classy to be concerned about a poor unfortunate ex.

Anyway, I think the 2 kind of deserved each other.
