The only thing left for Barcelona now is a direct meteor strike on Camp Nou, it can't get any worse.
I would prefer to say better. Here’s hoping things don’t get any better for them in 2022. How they are in this financial position and being linked with players like Haaland and our De Ligt is beyond me. Talk about deluded.

someone said on tv that piqué earned 28m despite barcelona's desperate financial situation. piqué didn't fuck around, he posted a screenshot of the transfer he received from the club for half a season. quite unprecedented move.

Real Madrid are going to be back on top of the pile, both domestically and in Europe, in no time. I give it 2-3 years. Sometimes I wish we were as attractive a destination as they are.

The only two clubs who possess pedigree, history and tradition that I am slightly envious of are Real and Bayern.

Real getting Mbappe and possibly Håland means they'd likely enter a new dominant period in Europe. Question mark is about Modric and Kroos though, they need to replace these two in the next 1-2 years.

I imagine Kroos will retire in 2023, he said some years back he won't play up until his late 30's. So he will probably quit when his contract ends in 2023. Don't know if Camavinga is good enough to replace him or Modric.

So Bayern are not in the race for haaland. Looks more suited in the Bundesliga or serie a rather than premier League.

in case anyone was wondering how barca could afford ferrán torres, here's a long ass thread on barca's finances, new la liga regulations, refinancing of their previous debt, interest paid by clubs (not a negligible covid effect) and stuff:

Feels like Carlo will get the sack at the end of the season. But I hope he wins the league before leaving. La Liga is the only top 4/5 league which he hasn't won. Ancelotti is a manager who is known for not being great in league competitions, so him being the only manager to have won all of Europe's top 4/5 leagues would be quite funny.

No, he wins the leagues, just never dominates them, like say Guardiola or Ferguson.
